This three week session is a joint pre-college program offered by St. Stephen’s School and Brown University, and is open to students at least 16 years of age. The pre-college program fully immerses students in the study of Rome and Italy’s history and culture. All students in this program are enrolled in one core course, a language class (either Latin or Italian), and one or more elective courses. Summer 2010 core courses include Ancient Roman Art and Culture, Secrets & Symbols of the Roman Art & Architecture: Renaissance through the Baroque, and Modern Italy. The 2010 elective courses include Digital Photography, Italian Music Appreciation, Italian Literature and Writing, and a drawing course, Views of Rome. Student exhibitions will be held at the conclusion of the summer school session. This program’s weekend trips include visits to Pompeii and the south of Italy, Florence and Orvieto.

*St. Stephen's reserves the right to change the course offerings from those listed.
