Technology has a fundamental role in today's
education. Students at this age already know a lot about technology;
they know so much that they can be easily identified as the "multitasking
generation". School work and most of communication is done
using computers and mobile phones: IM, forums, chat, sms, mms,
and many other terms are part of the daily language of this generation.
Images and videos have changed the way of learning to the point
that today's education has to be more "visual" and schools
have to offer more audio visual teaching tools.
This implementation of technology and the relevant
role of the visual impact of communication also gives the opportunity
to explore many other related fields. Images and videos can be
used for learning but also for presenting a specific product.
In particular, here at St. Stephen's we are curious to see how
students could apply their technology skills in producing material
to present to different types of public.
Websites, Movies, Documentaries, Slide shows
are all ongoing projects that are involving students with technical
expertise but also students that would like to learn how to expand
their knowledge in the field of IT.
The following is a first attempt to create a
movie using digital videocameras and digital editing with Pinnacle
Studio. Students involved in this project had to experience the
difficulties of setting up the scene with proper space and light,
filming the scenes with various distances and angles, recording
the sound for dialogues and background music and soundtrack, editing
the movie by importing the various scenes recorded and attaching
the pieces using transitions and effects. The result is very encouraging
and gives us the opportunity to share our accomplishments with
the visitors of this site.

"The New Student".
It is a "tragic-comedy" about a student that in
the middle of a school year has to move to another country
because of the father's job. Fears and imagination will
intrigue you until the very last frame of this movie.
Please note that this movie has been converted
to Macromedia Flash format to make it accessible to all
platforms and also to decrease the memory size. If interested
